I've got a question regarding spirit form. How would I go about adding traits to my spirit form? I've figured out how to put traits on the regular form using the save editors that have been posted, but none of them have the option to add traits to spirit form.
Aaand...I think I may have misread or misunderstood your previous comment. Any traits you add with BotNTools would be applied to both spirit form and human form alike. Game doesn't distingiush between the two with regards to gameplay effects, which would be a REALLY nice idea though.

Iffen you want actual, visual MC form to have an influence on gameplay, try out the older UE4 version of Carnal Instinct. Cock shape actually can change quest outcome, like only access to quest reward if cock is big enough, with average size you don't get any until you switch it to horsecock^^.

I'd love to see something like it in BotN, iffen different spirit forms had different traits attached, would make changing spirit form an actual factor in breeding desired variants with desired traits. Would make the whole breeding aspect a lot more interesting in fact, since all wild neph species got a "preferred trait" already that the breeder could take on with this mechanic !

But really, iffen you were hoping to get a hornball foxen form, a fertile cow form and a bigtit demon form, sry that ain't how this works in the current iteration of this game. Iz either one with all traits, or no traits. And all contingent on using BotNTools.

This idea of yours would be a huge improvement for the game though. No shit, go tell the dev. No, go yell at him, until he frakking listens and implements this, itz an awesome idea! Traits for spirit forms! Even if he don't listen most of the time, from what I understand  .

If I breed two foxen, one male and one female, and both have kindhearted, does that mean that the less xp they receive gets negated by other others kindhearted and it actually gets more xp?
1744137195385.png

Kindhearted makes the another mate earn more xp and the another less, that depend of the trait level I, II & III
So foxen male gives more xp to the female, but get less while, same about female, so both at end get the same, unless one of them have level I and the another level II (trait)

fox male with kh trait I + fox fem with kh trait I = both get the same xp
fox male with kh trait II + fox fem with kh trait I = the male earn less xp, but gives more to the fem

i recommend better get the Efficient trait tbh is the best about XP , atleast for me its

is this worth playing?
My current play though is a guy, and I have futa's turned off. I changed my fur color to where a bunch of super sayian spring up whenever I spread my seed around.
There is no gay content, so the other boys don't mess with me, which is great. Instead, I just get jumped on by (random) strange women, which is even better!

It depends on what you are looking to get out of the game. I got to the point where I just use the cheats in whole sale except maybe a few exceptions (I enjoy having to sell the fluids I have at the market to trade for other...fluids. Also the Essence leveling up challenge is sometimes fun.) Once you get all the obstacles out of the way and you can just get a hand full of nephs, it becomes funner.

While it has a great foundation, it still lacks in areas. Like animation variety, sound, voice. I'm pretty sure it's always the same moans everytime.

Still a great breeding game though. If you like passing your genetics down and experimenting with generations, then this game is for you.

Any features that Nephylem or the MC has can not be transferred to others purely because those features are not a seperate entity.
That I don't believe. Well, I believe they are locked to certain variants, and currently we players cannot access that part of the game. So in that regard, they are inseparable, right.

But mechanically, visually - looking at the female hominal body model, it's basically the same as the breeder. Maybe modfied by some templates like chubby for giants or slimmy for tabbies, but ultimately it's all the same base female body mesh. Only difference is the attachments tacked on to different species & variants. I mean, look at the human-cock futas without any pubic hair to cover the seam, them dickies look like glued-on dildos :D. Really wanna tell me those are intrinsically fixed parts of the respective body models? No way!

Even with current limitations, you can make a bunch of spirit forms with the same base female body as your breeder, but different animal cocks slapped on it, as I worte above. Use neph species that DO have animal cock on hominal form as base, remove all attachments & skin textures, paste human breeder shape & color scheme, fine-tune color & shape, done. Currently has horse, bovaur, foxen, vulwarg, demon and dragon cock on human forms in my spirit form repertoire.

Same goes for all other "attachments" -I count everything that isn't part of base body model under that, arm/leg style, horns, ears, tails, wings, hairstyles, dicks- which could be looked at basically like clothes in an NPCs inventory list. You can already set all of those to "off" or "invisible" in the editor, and with access to the individual NPCs in the code, it would be an easy feat to add or exchange pieces as well.

All I'm trying to say is, technically it shouldn't be too difficult, Dev (or some crafty modder) could likely implement "interspecies dick exchange" feature with a few clicks, like adding piece of clothing or equpiment to an NPCs loot list...so we all know it probably ain't gonna happen anytime soon, right ;)?

Just to check, since the multiple types of protag tags can be confusing. Is this a Pick Your Gender, Your Gender Can Change Over the Story, or a Multiple POV game?
Would rather say Gender Can Change. All depends on your preferences, and your patience with the Variant Editor.

Can change your character appearance (including gender) at will in-game, only have to visit certain NPCs. Either Camilla (fat little Goblin in Alchemist guild) to change human form or Leylanna (sexy Katsune cleric in the temple) to change spirit (aka Animal) form. Both these two provide an in-game editor interface (basically all same as the character creation screen at game start for the human appearance or the Variant Editor for the animal spirit appearance), but in case of Leylanna without the ability to save edits to the animal spirit appearance.

You can be M, F or Futa in both human or animal spirit form at the click of a button. Just need to take the time and make some good-looking presets for each gender first, which you can then load one-click in these in-game editor interfaces provided by the two aforementioned NPCs. Like changing a skin.

One actual gameplay effect with regard to gender, iffen you change into a male form, is that male nephelym will leave you alone. While iffen you're in futa or female form, they will relentlessly pursue & try to hump you, keeping you from chasing the females & futas you want to actually fool around with ;) .

For all questions regarding Variant Editor and such, check mckHH's guide.

I wouldn't consider that gender change tho. You can turn from a human to a nephelym-alike (monstergirl/monsterboy) with the spirit form but you're stuck with whatever gender you initially pick. Tho I'm not sure what the OP exactly refers to when they mention those three possibilities. But like I said, if I had to describe BotN as having one of those. I think the Pick Your Gender fits more.

Tho I think it would be more like pick your sex instead. Maybe?

Is there a certain order in which to open each gate? I remember during one of my playthroughs, I went in a certain direction first but it eventually lead me to having to steal a gate key from the giant slime girl under the town in order to progress and then I couldn't do anything with the slime girl again. I was told to avoid that, I have to go in another direction first and after picking certain gates, I forgot which ones, I ran into a dead end. I guess there was a way to continue but I was too lazy and stupid to figure it out. So in order to avoid having to experiment, back track and create a dozen separate saves, can anyone tell me what is the best order to do things?

My favorite thing about this game is that it has such poor development and version controls that it can't even use a save(without modifying it on the user's end) that is even 0.0000000000000001 different in versions in a game that wants and expects you to do mmo tier grinding just because the dev may or may not have moved an npc 2 units over or fixed a localization error or something that took ten months to do.

For those who can't read RU I used GTranslate but can't confirm accuracy. Only took about 2min tops. Least I could do to help provide to the group.

As a reminder : 0.7X builds are located C:/Users/[yourname]/AppData/Local/OBF/Saved/SaveGames/
Older builds are located C:/Users/[yourname]/AppData/Local/Radiant/Saved/SaveGames/

Does anyone know if I can use the tool to get the exotic appearances or if it is possible to recover the ones removed from the game?

I could see that you can put the traits removed from the game but it is possible that it will exploit your game or end up corrupting it xd

I tried it by using the Risu race and it work, so yeah I think you can try it by editing in the "Variant Editor" by using the creator code.

Oh yeah btw, about the BotN Tools there is this setting called "Character batch edit" in the tools, it f*ck up my saved file like it erase the nephelym's Form and size in the traits area, oh and just so you know I click the apply and save before exiting the BotN Tools. I hope it will be fixed or updated soon because its tiring to edit trait and stats every nephelyms one by one.✌

I think I need a more explained guide on that hahaha Actually, a lot of "natural" appearances were removed in the game

And as I was using BoTN tools. I ended up giving upgrades to the characters I had but .... xDD sometimes I end up booting myself.
(I got stuck in the jumping position, can't move, so saving game and loading temporarily fixes it).
